• and lots more

Visit our Services page for the complete list or simply contact us for ideas about your design and printing requirements.

What type of file do I need for printing?

We print from print-ready PDFs and work from Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop files, and Microsoft Office.

We can also accept EPS, TIFF, JPG and PSD files and then convert them to PDF format.

If required, we will supply a print proof before proceeding.

Please convert your artwork file to PDF before supplying the print ready file to us for print.

What is a print-ready PDF file?

A portable document format (PDF) is a file format used to present and exchange documents reliably. To view a PDF file, download Acrobat Reader DC software or a similar viewer.

A print-ready file means we can use it “as submitted” to us without any alteration or intervention to produce high-resolution results.

What resolution does my file need to be?

Make sure all images and text are at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) so they won’t look blurry or pixelated when printed.

How can I send my file?

Upload your file using the link on the Contact Us form, or email to "art@ajprinters.com.au".

What is digital printing?

Digital printing involves printing from a digital file using a toner or inkjet printer. A high-quality result can be achieved at a cost-effective price in a shorter time frame than traditional offset printing.

Digital printing also offers the availability to print mail merge data on jobs. For example, printing a set of invitations personally addressed to each person. We use an invitation design of your choice and combine it with a list of names in a file such as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, CSV or TXT file.

What is your turnaround time?

For smaller quantities under 5000, turnaround will be the same day if the artwork is approved by 11am.

Larger quantities or work requiring binding may take a day or two longer.

What size and weight of paper do you print on?

We print on SRA3 (450 x 320mm) sheets normally and will cut your job to suit. Paper weights we use vary from 60 gsm to 400 gsm (gsm = grams per square metre). We provide free advice on any choice of paper required – please ask our print specialists.

For example, typical office paper is 80 gsm and quality business cards are 350 gsm.

Do you print envelopes?

Yes we print plain-face and window-face envelopes from 11B to B4 size.

We can also print envelopes with mail merge (variable) data.

Can I cancel my order?

If a job is cancelled after artwork has commenced you will be invoiced for time and materials spent up until that time.

What are you payment terms?

For new customers we require payment at time of order before we can commence work.

Once an order has been placed a tax invoice will be emailed to you. Upon receipt of payment your job will be processed.

Regular customers can request to be set up with a business account.
